Here’s how your day unfolds.
You arrive at the trailhead. Your guide fits your snowshoes and poles, runs a short briefing, and gets the group moving. From there, it’s a full day out on the snow enjoying quiet trails, open snowfields, and plenty of time to take it all in.
No route to plan, no conditions to second-guess. Your guide handles all of that. You just walk.
Whether it’s your first time adventuring in snow or you’re a seasoned hiker looking for a winter adventure, snowshoe hiking is for everyone. No skiing required, no experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm (and warm clothes).
If you’ve been thinking about it, this is the right place to start.

If You Are Wondering About Gear
You will need snowshoes and poles for both adventure types. The summit hike will require additional alpine gear. We provide a clear hire list and recommendations so you can access suitable equipment ready for your day out.
Just finished the level 2 alpine course. Again, excellent instruction and knowledge concerning glacier travel, long toping, short-roping,, and crevasse rescue. Thanks Hamid and Lachlan
Hamid was our instructor for both courses and he had an incredible in his teaching style – the right amount of information and theory mixed in with practical application and loads of fun. I had no knowledge about how to climb in Alpine environments prior to these courses. These courses have provided me with essential skills and knowledge to feel more confident going to Mera Peak.
A big thank you to Hamid and The Climbing Company for offering such a great course so close to Melbourne! Would highly recommend.
