Climbing Instructor Assessment
Participants on CI courses must have progressed through the previous levels, they need to have significant broad personal climbing experience and professional experience at SPG and MPG level. The CI qualification covers the skills to teach and instruct all aspects of rock climbing / abseil activities including teaching trad lead climbing, climbing coaching / movement, multi pitch climbing, complex rescue scenarios etc.
Entry requirements:
Should be a qualified MPG and have completed the CI Training and all interim log book requirements.
Highly recommend doing a multi-pitch adventure at the Arapiles. Ben was an amazing guide, super friendly, knowledgeable and tailored the climbs perfectly to our skill level.
We recently had the most amazing abseiling experience with Climbing Company at Falcon’s Lookout, Werribee Gorge. From the very beginning, Aaron, the owner and our instructor, made us feel completely at ease. He was incredibly friendly, supportive, and informative throughout the entire session.
Aaron took great care to ensure our safety at all times, thoroughly explaining the purpose of every piece of personal protective equipment and making sure we were properly geared up. His focus on safety and adherence to best practices gave us real peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy the adventure.
He encouraged and motivated us constantly, creating a comfortable and fun atmosphere. There was never any rush; Aaron was patient and let us take our time to adjust to the experience, always checking in to see that we felt comfortable and confident.

I thoroughly enjoyed my abseiling experience with The Climbing Company on Saturday 21st June 2025. Aaron was our instructor and he was absolutely amazing with the knowledge and skills, and extremely patient while handling us excited yet beginners. Thank you for such an outstanding experience.
