Our group spent the weekend with Aaron learning Anchoring, abseiling, and top roping skills. His teaching methods were very clear and understandable. He was calm, professional, and reassuring, which is what I personally needed due to my fears of risk and heights. By the end of the course I was able to confidently place an anchoring system that I was confident in and took away the skills that would allow me to do it outside of the class environment.

First visit to Dyurrite (Mt Arapiles) and I hired a guide through The Climbing Company to get my bearings and do some multi-pitch climbing. I lucked out and got Simon Mentz, co-author of the Arapiles guidebook and an absolute wealth of local knowledge. I enjoyed it so much I booked a full day with him later in the trip.
Even if you’re relatively experienced, hiring a guide for local knowledge is something I can’t recommend enough. The Climbing Company made it easy and delivered at every step. Five stars.

Always fun doing a course with The Climbing Company. The courses are kept to small groups allowing everyone to ask questions, try all the skills, and get personal attention. The content is kept to a digestible amount, with one or two key concepts repeated throughout the course and summarised at the end, ensuring participants aren’t overloaded and can go out on their personal climbing adventures with more confidence, skills, and knowledge to have a safe experience.
