Curious about climbing outside at our local crags? These events are for you!
Climbing QTs is an LGBTQIA+ friendly social club and advocacy group, and these events are organised as a way to gather QTs together in the wild, and find new friends in a safe and supportive environment.
Top rope trips are beginner friendly and have climbs for all skill levels.
Skills courses can help you develop technical skills to keep each other safe on your own outdoors adventures.
All trips are fully guided by the wonderful guides from The Climbing Company, and all climbing equipment (harness, helmet, shoes) is provided.

The Top Rope Anchors and Abseiling course offered great enjoyment especially with Aaron as our guide. Aaron provided clear information on the different types of equipment and how it should be suitably set-up. I highly recommend the climbing company to individuals seeking to start rock climbing and abseiling or who wish to refresh skills and techniques.
Our group spent the weekend with Aaron learning Anchoring, abseiling, and top roping skills. His teaching methods were very clear and understandable. He was calm, professional, and reassuring, which is what I personally needed due to my fears of risk and heights. By the end of the course I was able to confidently place an anchoring system that I was confident in and took away the skills that would allow me to do it outside of the class environment.
Had Aaron teach me and three others over two days. Very informative and answers any questions you have with climbing with confidence. Over all great person and teacher

Having just completed the indoor lead course with Aaron, I cannot recommend these folks enough.
Personally, coming from a background of strong climbing skills but weak technical knowledge, this course provided the perfect introduction to the basics of indoor lead climbing.
The combination of laid-back energy and just the right amount of theory and practice enabled the group to confidently progress through the course.
This was the perfect first step, and I now feel enabled to continue my climbing journey.

Highly recommend the Alpine 1 and 2 courses with Hamid! He had a deep understanding of the concepts needed to set you up for successful climbs/rescues and translates his knowledge well. His patience with the learning curve is also equally as impressive. Definitely practice your hitches/knots before the course and “don’t engage your feet”!
