Multi Pitch Guide Training
Participants on MPG courses must have progressed through the previous levels, they need to be personally experienced and competent at leading multi pitch routes on leader placed protection. The MPG qualification covers the skills required to lead participants in multi pitch climbing / abseil environments, including guiding participants on multi pitch routes whilst leading on placed protection.
Entry requirements:

Details and instructions for gaining an exemption are via the “Recognition of Prior Learning” process available on the ACIA website’s Resources page, which also contains the Application Form. Candidates do not need to have completed the single pitch guide assessment.
It is expected that candidates will have strong multi-pitch climbing experience (typically to grade 14).
